The Hayway Tool and Hardware Company Limited was established in Kettering, Northamptonshire in 1982 by Neil Burton and Ian Lane. These two local businessmen had worked in the tool trade over a number of years and decided to form a tool distribution company together to pass on their knowledge to the local community and trade alike.
The business was very much a family affair with Neil's wife Janet running the accounts department. Then when the company had grown sufficiently Roger Diamond was added to the team and his background working for both Bosch and Metabo allowed Hayway Tools to go from strength to strength.
