A leading North West construction firm has become one of the first to buy JCB’s brand new 525-60E electrical Loadall telescopic handler.
Domis Construction Managing Director, Lee McCarren said: “As a truly forward-thinking organisation we are striving to change the face of construction with modernisation, innovation and technological advances at the forefront. As soon as we saw the significant benefits this electric JCB machine could bring to our operations we wanted to secure the first in the region.
“In the type of high-rise, city centre buildings we typically develop there is significant work underground in basements and in car parks. Traditionally we would need to fit expensive carbon filters onto our machines in order to operate safely in those areas. Now we have a high performance, low emissions and ultra-quiet machine that is perfect for our inner-city operations.
“We are delighted to support a great British brand, which we believe is the best in the business, while investing in a superb concept that will make a major difference as we strive to minimise our carbon footprint and environmental impact.”
More than 43 years after the company pioneered the concept of telescopic handlers, JCB has taken the wraps off its brand new 525-60E model, a full electric version of the popular Loadall. Designed to deliver the same performance as the conventional diesel-powered machine, the 525-60E offers a zero-emissions load handling solution. A further benefit of electric operation is a significant reduction in noise levels, making the Loadall suitable for extended operation in sensitive urban job sites.
External dimensions are unchanged from its diesel counterpart and the 525-60E offers the same 3.7m outside turn radius. Maximum lift capacity is 2,500kg, with a 2,000kg maximum load at the full six metre lift height. The machine has been designed to deliver similar cycle times as the diesel telescopic, with no loss of performance.
Founded early in 2017, Domis Property Group has quickly become one of the biggest development and construction teams in the Manchester area with 8 major projects and a further 1200 units in the pipeline.
The Domis Construction division is responsible for the building of these prestigious, large scale developments and boasts a modern fleet of the most advanced plant and equipment including 12 JCB Loadall telescopic handlers.
